Sending Notion Pages to Kindle

Bookworm can send any Notion page directly to your Kindle device. If the send is not working or your page is not appearing on your Kindle, work through the steps below.

1

Have a Notion page open

Navigate to the Notion page you want to send to your Kindle. The extension reads the page you currently have open, so make sure it is the correct one before proceeding.

2

Open the Bookworm extension

Click the Bookworm icon Bookworm icon in your browser toolbar to open the popup. If you don't see it, click the extension icon and pin Bookworm for easier access.

3

Click "Send to Kindle"

Inside the Bookworm popup, click the Send to Kindle icon Send to Kindle button. The extension will prepare the Notion page content and send it to your registered Kindle device.

If the button is not visible, make sure you are on a Notion page and that the extension has loaded correctly. Try refreshing the Notion page and reopening the popup.

4

Accept any permission prompts

The extension may ask for permission to access external URLs. This is required to download any images embedded in your Notion page — for example, cover images or inline photos hosted outside of Notion.

When prompted, click Allow to grant the permission. The send will not proceed without it.

5

Sign in to Amazon

You must be signed in to your Amazon account in the same browser where the Bookworm extension is installed. The extension uses your Amazon session to deliver the page to your Kindle.

If you are not signed in, visit amazon.com and sign in, then return to your Notion page and try again.

6

Delivery uses your account's default Kindle

The page is sent to the Kindle device associated with your Amazon account. If you have multiple Kindle devices or apps registered, it will be delivered to your default device.

To change which device receives the page, update your default Kindle device in your Amazon account settings under Manage Your Content and Devices.

Once sent, the page should appear in your Kindle library within a few minutes. Make sure your Kindle is connected to Wi-Fi to receive the delivery.

Known Limitations

Some Notion features do not translate perfectly to Kindle due to limitations in the Kindle format. These are known issues rather than bugs.

Emojis may appear with white backgrounds

Kindle does not support images with transparent backgrounds. Emoji images exported from Notion are rendered as PNGs with a white background, so you may see white boxes around emojis used as page icons or inline in content. This is a Kindle limitation and cannot be worked around at this time.

Column layouts are not supported

Notion pages that use multi-column layouts will be reflowed into a single column when sent to Kindle. Kindle's document format does not support side-by-side columns, so all content will appear in reading order from top to bottom. Consider restructuring column-heavy pages before sending them if the reading order matters.

Still having issues?

If you have tried the steps above and are still experiencing issues, please describe your issue in detail and we will reach out to you soon.
